I want to book a boudoir session. What is the first step?

Frequently Asked Questions

So excited to photograph you! To book your boudoir photography session, you will have to pay the Boudoir session fee to secure your date and time. Once your Boudoir session is booked, we will start with a phone consultation where we discuss why you want to book a boudoir session and how you want to be photographed. I offer wardrobe suggestions and hair and makeup looks. This is a perfect time for us to get to know each other and for you to ask me questions about the process of a boudoir photography session.

What do I wear? Do I bring my own clothes?

At the phone consultation, I will create a vision board on Pinterest. This is my favorite part of the process—it gets me so excited! I love to style and photograph my clients. We will talk about wardrobe ideas as well as hair and makeup looks, and we'll put together 3-5 outfit ideas for the boudoir photography session. I even recommend you trying on the outfits before the boudoir session to make sure that our looks are polished and well put together.

Is hair and makeup included?

Professional hair styling and makeup is included in your boudoir session fee.

Where does the boudoir session take place?

I have a home studio, where most of my boudoir sessions take place, and occasionally some boudoir sessions are on location. Hair and makeup is also done on location in the studio.

I am not photogenic, and I feel nervous about the boudoir shoot.

I get it. Being intimate and opening yourself up in front of a camera can give you a lot of butterflies! I have spent years learning posing and lighting techniques, and I will guide you through a series of poses that will make you feel comfortable, beautiful and, most importantly, allow you to have FUN! You don't need to worry about anything! It's my goal as an artist to photograph you and create beautiful authentic images that capture your true beauty.

How long will a boudoir shoot take?

My boudoir photography sessions can take 3 hours with 3-5 outfit changes. We start hair and makeup at 9:30 a.m. and I start photographing my clients from 11:00a.m. to 2:00p.m.
